About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and physical in-process testing to ensure high-quality standards for medical products
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets to determine assembly procedures and safety precautions
- Rotate among various workstations and tasks to support department needs and cross-training
- Use simple machinery and basic chemicals to prepare component parts for assembly
- Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, or equipment malfunctions and report to technical personnel
- Maintain accurate inventory counts of completed work and monitor production schedules
- Package component parts and assemblies for shipment, ensuring all vital parts and instructions are included
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Ability to lift 40lbs and work in various positions including standing and sitting
- Natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25 and the ability to differentiate between colors
- Strong mechanical dexterity and the ability to maintain accuracy during repetitive tasks
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Ability to adapt to changing production methods, automation, and workstation rotations
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of successful experience in assembly or a related functional area
