About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine assemblies, inspections, and sub-assemblies using basic tools and techniques.
- Conduct visual and physical in-process testing to ensure high-quality production standards.
- Utilize blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets to determine setup procedures and safety precautions.
- Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, or equipment malfunctions and report to technical personnel.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts of completed work and monitor production schedules.
- Package component parts and assemblies for shipment, ensuring all vital parts and instructions are included.
- Rotate among various workstations and tasks to support department needs and cross-training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Ability to lift 40lbs and work in various positions including standing and sitting.
- Natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25 and the ability to differentiate colors.
- Strong mechanical dexterity and basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write, and maintain a high degree of accuracy during repetitive tasks.
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments, including increased automation and production method changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of successful experience in assembly or a related functional area.
