About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards for life-sustaining medical products
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets to determine assembly procedures and safety precautions
- Rotate among various workstations and tasks to support department needs and facilitate cross-training
- Use simple machinery and basic chemicals to prepare component parts for assembly
- Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, or equipment malfunctions and report to technical personnel
- Maintain accurate inventory counts of completed work and monitor production schedules
- Package component parts and assemblies for shipment, ensuring all vital parts and instructions are included
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Minimum 1 year of successful experience in assembly or a related functional area preferred
- Strong mechanical dexterity and eyesight (natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity of 20/25)
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations with high accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs and work in various positions including standing and sitting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production methods or automation
