Operator, Finishing/Bindery

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines and traditional bindery equipment including cutters and folders
• Perform equipment start-up, shut-down, and preventive maintenance tasks
• Monitor product quality by sampling and making necessary machine modifications
• Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality issues to stabilize production
• Enter data into the ERP system to monitor efficiency and performance
• Replenish materials as they are depleted to ensure continuous operation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience operating high-speed finishing equipment in the printing or mailing industry
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot jams and alignment issues
• Mathematical proficiency (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using fractions and decimals)
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11pm) including mandatory additional hours and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with print workflows and mailpiece formats (letters, flats, postcards)
• Knowledge of USPS postal regulations and automation standards
