Operator - Ammonia Refrigeration Plant

Responsibilities

• Maintain the ammonia refrigeration system, packaged refrigeration units, and supporting equipment
• Ensure continuous operation of all facility systems and maintain facility conditions
• Coordinate internal and external resources for facility maintenance
• Provide real-time data and technical analysis on refrigeration and operational equipment status
• Work with water treatment suppliers to ensure correct equipment operation
• Ensure ammonia compressors operate safely and efficiently to reduce energy consumption
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems
• Handle maintenance emergencies and maintain a clean, safe work area in accordance with GMP and safety regulations

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3 years of experience working with Ammonia refrigeration
• Ammonia refrigeration certification
• Certificate in HVAC
• Knowledge of equipment set-up, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques
• Experience working in a maintenance department
