Operator/Adjuster/Inspector

Responsibilities

• Operate all machines and auxiliary equipment within the cold heading department
• Diagnose and remedy minor machine problems and perform minor preventative maintenance
• Visually and dimensionally inspect products using micrometers, tensile testers, hardness testers, and optical comparators
• Ensure quality of production by separating unacceptable work from acceptable work
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area following 6S principles
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, including 6S projects and SMED events
• Maintain accurate production records and follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements

Requirements

• Experience with machine operation and quality inspection
• Proficiency using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and optical comparators
• Ability to perform hardness and tensile testing
• Knowledge of 6S principles and lean manufacturing processes
• Ability to work overtime as needed to meet production goals
