Operations Technician

Responsibilities

• Support daily plant operations to ensure achievement of production and reliability targets
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment and systems at the SMR facility
• Investigate equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend solutions
• Assist in the planning and execution of minor and major plant shutdowns
• Participate as a key member of the Site Safety Committee to promote safety performance
• Follow established operating procedures and maintain high levels of accuracy and detail
• Work a 12-hour rotating shift, including nights and weekends

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical aptitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and climb ladders or steps
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and meet on-call requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate in Process Technology or a maintenance-related field
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or chemical/petrochemical environments
• Experience with plant or refinery instrumentation and electrical systems
• Participation in SkillsUSA
