Operations Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production requirements across multiple lines, including safety, quality, staffing, and departmental budgets.
• Directly supervise and lead a team of 15 to 25 operators and mechanics.
• Drive continuous improvement and employee engagement using Manufacturing Excellence tools and techniques.
• Optimize production efficiencies, reduce labor costs, and improve throughput.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), food safety regulations, and 5S standards.
• Support safety and food safety audits and ensure all corrective actions are completed.
• Plan, assign, and direct work while performing supervisory duties such as training, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution.

Requirements

• 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Engineering degree preferred).
• Proven experience in a high-speed bottling plant or warehousing operation within a highly regulated environment.
• Strong working knowledge of high-speed bottling activities, including machine operations, changeovers, and package quality.
• Demonstrated expertise in Manufacturing Excellence methodologies such as 5S, Center-lining, and SMED.
• Ability to make critical decisions under pressure regarding safety, quality, and production.
• Experience diagnosing and implementing solutions to drive change in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of TTB and State regulations pertaining to the production of alcoholic beverages.
