About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage material flow in production work centers and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely order delivery.
- Schedule and plan orders using scheduling dashboards to meet Manufacturing Due Dates (MDD) by verifying material, personnel, and machine capacity.
- Monitor and physically locate orders to ensure they progress through processes and meet delivery targets.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks regarding potential missed due dates to supervisors.
- Drive On-Time Delivery (OTD) improvements by addressing gaps in material availability, machine downtime, and lead times.
- Coordinate with material planners and upstream processes to manage material requirements and expedite needs.
- Assume supervisor responsibilities during absences, including personnel management and order traceability.
- Prepare shop orders, create material sessions, and manage parcel IDs for specific production needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).
- Strong problem-solving, investigative, and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with operators, managers, and engineers.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Ability to sit or stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in connector manufacturing.
- College education.
- Proficiency with Samtec Global Network (SGN), Shop Floor Control, or Inventory Suite.
- Multilingual capabilities (English, Spanish, Chinese, or Vietnamese).
