Operations Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage daily tasks for support of design, construction, startup, and operations of complex high hazard systems
• Render expert opinions regarding Radiation Protection and technical issues
• Provide independent reviews and assessments for high-technology projects
• Interface with management and customer representatives
• Develop and enforce work standards, assign schedules, and review work quality
• Provide leadership for project teams and supervise senior personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or equivalent experience related to Radiation Protection
• Eight years of relevant experience
• Five years of directly applicable experience in Radiation Protection or work planning in a DOE Cat 2 nuclear facility

Preferred Qualifications

• DOE-Q Clearance
• US Nuclear Navy experience
• DOE Plutonium facility experience
• Strong conduct of operations knowledge
