Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the consumer site
• Lead, coach, and encourage staff during shifts
• Maintain internal databases and follow up on vehicle defects
• Administer vehicle and trailer maintenance programs
• Complete daily depot checks including trailers, returns, and pallets
• Manage driver performance and improvement actions
• Support the Operations Manager with depot payroll planning
• Maintain personnel files, licenses, and training records
• Coordinate recruitment and employee training
• Assist in accident investigations and follow-up
• Complete daily risk assessments for the yard and office
• Report maintenance and repair issues to the Operations Manager
• Provide data for weekly KPI reports

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading and motivating diverse teams
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in a transport-related role
• Working knowledge of EU Hours, Working Time Directives, and Tachograph legislation
• CPC National Qualification preferred
• PC literacy with Excel knowledge
• 1 year of experience in transport operations
