Operations Supervisor Rail

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused outcomes
• Oversee pickups and deliveries to meet customer expectations and delivery windows
• Coordinate train movements, shunt plans, and container yard operations
• Lead and support rail yard operators, including drivers, forklift, and gantry operators
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers regarding equipment, maintenance, and repairs
• Capture, record, and reconcile freight movements, discrepancies, and manifests within operational systems

Requirements

• Prior experience in an operational role within the transport or logistics industry
• Knowledge of rail and road transport operations, including compliance and safety requirements
• Proven capability supervising operational teams, including rail yard operators and driver groups
• Advanced knowledge of systems for container and rail movement tracking, including manifests and billing
• Strong attention to detail regarding freight and manifest accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Rail SARC certification
