Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead safety performance and compliance, ensuring zero harm through active safety leadership and fatigue monitoring.
• Manage productive and engaged work crews, overseeing training, development, and performance accountability.
• Drive operational excellence by optimizing the utilization of labour and equipment.
• Oversee compliance, including driver inductions, permit/license maintenance, and adherence to site and road regulations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and deliver clear, consistent operational messages.
• Support the Operations Manager with high-quality incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Manage commercial targets through effective cost management and budget adherence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the logistics, transport, or mining services industry.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
• Strong understanding of safety and compliance practices, including Chain of Responsibility.
• Experience with driver fatigue monitoring and management.
• Ability to use optimization techniques for scheduling, rostering, and asset utilization.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
