Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an assigned department during the 3rd shift to achieve operational objectives in safety, quality, and reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement by utilizing Kaizen tools and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste.
• Maintain a strong shop floor focus to understand current operations and engage directly with employees.
• Ensure zero-defect quality standards by identifying root causes and implementing solutions in compliance with ISO 9000.
• Manage team safety through the implementation of 5-S principles and adherence to all state and federal legislation.
• Oversee staffing, training, and employee development to build a high-performing, skilled workforce.
• Facilitate a pull system using one-piece-flow to meet customer demand and ensure on-time delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of successful supervisory experience in an operations environment or a proven leadership role.
• Proficient understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO quality systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to express ideas effectively.
• Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and decision-making within a team environment.
• Proficiency in office automation and communication software.
