Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Model and reinforce safe behavior and conduct daily safety talks
• Support team leads in identifying and resolving quality issues
• Set daily and weekly output goals and lead daily team huddles
• Assign staffing and workload across work cells based on skill sets
• Monitor and report production performance including output, scrap, and downtime
• Provide direct supervision of team leads and hourly production staff
• Lead or support kaizen activities and Gemba walks
• Champion lean manufacturing practices including 5S and standardized work

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within manufacturing
• Experience applying lean manufacturing tools like 5S, kaizen, and root cause problem solving
• Experience with production tracking, scheduling, and performance metrics
• Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk in a manufacturing environment for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field
• PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification
• Experience in early-stage, low-volume, or scale-up manufacturing
• Background in electromechanical assembly, power generation, or heavy equipment
