Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily inbound and outbound warehouse distribution operations
• Lead, train, and evaluate a team of unionized employees
• Manage inventory and ensure strict quality control standards
• Cultivate a safety culture by implementing and enforcing workplace safety rules and policies
• Achieve key performance indicators related to safety, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost
• Implement GMS and lean principles to drive continuous improvement
• Maintain effective communication with employees, union representatives, and management
• Complete administrative tasks including timekeeping and departmental reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift based on business needs
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
• Ability to develop, maintain, and analyze data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience within a unionized environment
• 3-5 years of experience supervising employees in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics setting
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
