Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop employees with a focus on retention, growth, and safety performance
• Supervise daily employee work and pre-shifts to ensure high quality and timely customer deliverables
• Monitor and correct unsafe acts or conditions immediately, providing necessary feedback and corrective action
• Plan daily manpower needs and manage schedules to ensure timely freight pickup and delivery
• Monitor service freight to ensure compliance with cut times and operational standards
• Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
• Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information, and appointment setting
• Ensure all OS&D (Overages, Shortages, and Damages) is identified and processed correctly
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications
• Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) or freight operations
• Thorough knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, OSHA laws, and Hazardous Materials Regulations
• Familiarity with NMFC (National Motor Freight Classification) and Tariff Rules
