Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and control operational cycles to ensure local and foreign shipments are routed, classified, and delivered according to service guarantees.
• Monitor route departure, arrival, and travel times through vehicle tracking and gate scanning to meet delivery deadlines.
• Inspect transport equipment and ensure teams are at loading docks on schedule to prevent cargo damage or delays.
• Analyze fuel performance and mileage per route to optimize usage and control costs.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance by reviewing daily inspection reports and ensuring mechanical failures are captured in SAP.
• Manage route assignments, waybills, and operator expense accounts to ensure operational continuity.
• Conduct route inspections on-board units to detect operational issues and implement modifications for better profitability.
• Lead weekly meetings with operators to review performance indicators and establish operational adjustments.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Transport, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or transport companies, specifically managing personnel and projects.
• Proven experience in the courier and parcel services industry.
• Strong knowledge of route design, traffic management, and national highway regulations.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for reporting and administrative tasks.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required by the role.
