About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between the Brantford, Ontario manufacturing teams and the operations teams in Brea, California.
- Coordinate production schedules, material availability, and work orders for Canada-based assembly and testing.
- Monitor quality, throughput, and on-time delivery performance while supporting corrective actions.
- Provide weekly operational updates to remote leadership regarding capacity, risks, and output.
- Serve as the primary Canadian point of contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and opportunity follow-up.
- Support the Sales & Business Development Manager with lead qualification and proposal preparation.
- Partner with the Operational Excellence Manager to deploy Lean tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain dashboards and KPIs for both sales and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, or supply chain.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort working with data and KPIs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for cross-functional and cross-border coordination.
- Ability to work independently at a satellite location and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer support, sales coordination, or business development.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Knowledge of U.S.–Canada trade, logistics, and USMCA/NAFTA regulations.
- Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, medical devices, or automotive.
