Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor truck operator assignments to ensure loading, supply, and delivery plans meet customer demand.
• Ensure safe operating conditions for drivers, equipment, and delivery zones to achieve zero-accident goals.
• Conduct daily health checks for operators and lead safety briefings (5-minute talks).
• Audit vehicle checklists and legal documentation (registration, insurance, etc.) to ensure fleet compliance.
• Manage fleet optimization by reviewing equipment availability against maintenance reports.
• Track operator work hours, travel logs, and payroll incentives for biweekly processing.
• Inspect client discharge sites using the "Safe Site" methodology to identify and report safety risks.
• Coordinate initial communications and reporting in the event of road accidents or incidents.
• Analyze and report travel rates and operational expenses to optimize route productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2 years of experience as a Yard Supervisor or Operations Supervisor.
• 2 years of experience in personnel management (operational staff).
• 2 years of experience in Industrial Safety.
• 2 years of experience in Customer Service.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of NOM 012 regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cost analysis and budget management.
• Ability to work under pressure and make timely decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
