Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily import operations, leading a team of 15-20 employees
• Provide high-level customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers
• Perform tariff research and classification of goods to ensure compliance with Canadian, Mexican, and US customs regulations
• Oversee team performance, conduct evaluations, assign tasks, and manage hiring/training
• Develop and implement written work instructions and operational procedures
• Manage a network of Mexican customs clearance partners and drayage companies
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align schedules, priorities, and deadlines
• Monitor work volumes and provide after-hours support as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in International Trade, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of proven experience in customs, compliance, or international trade
• Strong knowledge of Annex 24 and the IMMEX program
• Bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)
• Valid Passport and willingness to travel occasionally to other office locations in Canada, the USA, or Mexico
• Full understanding of applicable regional customs regulations
