Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform daily trade reconciliations, position monitoring, P&L attribution, and cash/cost reconciliation across multiple asset classes
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, settlement issues, and corporate action events
• Analyse existing operational processes end-to-end and design improved solutions to reduce manual effort
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and scripting (Python, SQL) to build automated reconciliation and reporting workflows
• Manage and improve data pipelines to ensure accuracy and timeliness of operational data
• Support onboarding of new counterparties, prime brokers, and market connectivity
• Contribute to APAC delivery of global technology and process improvement projects
• Monitor and manage operational risk throughout the trade lifecycle

Requirements

• 3+ years of mid/back-office or operations experience in proprietary trading, hedge funds, or prime brokerage
• Strong technical literacy with ability to read and reason about Python and SQL code
• Solid understanding of trade lifecycle processes for equities, ETFs, futures, FX, and/or OTC derivatives
• Experience with reconciliation frameworks and clearing/settlement workflows
• Familiarity with Asian securities markets and rules
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate findings into process improvements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
