Operations Safety and Compliance Manager

Responsibilities

• Own safety execution across Operations, including drivers, depots, yards, and on-road activities
• Ensure operational teams adhere to established safety standards and policies
• Lead operational incident response, including classification and post-incident follow-up
• Manage FMCSA and DOT Motor Carrier compliance, including IRP, IFTA, and state-specific filings
• Oversee driver compliance programs, including CDL qualifications and HOS adherence
• Manage drug and alcohol testing workflows for operational roles
• Embed safety and compliance requirements into Operations SOPs and training programs
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Safety, and Fleet to track compliance metrics

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operations, compliance, fleet management, or regulated environments
• Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or industrial operations
• Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory reviews
• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with driver and vehicle compliance workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working closely with frontline teams and drivers
• Ability to translate complex policy into executable operational processes
• Experience operating in scaling, fast-changing environments
