Operations Research Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement modeling and simulation for base resiliency and wargaming
• Perform optimization and risk analysis for mission support initiatives
• Design and analyze performance metrics for enterprise planning
• Support wargame capstone events with modeling and simulation expertise
• Conduct decision analysis and advanced statistical analysis for AFIMSC projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate analytics into strategic planning
• Utilize government-managed data platforms for operations research
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations for senior leadership
• Lead development of analytical frameworks for enterprise basing strategies

Requirements

• Active and maintained Secret security clearance
• Master's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in operations research and analytics
• Experience with simulation tools and optimization techniques
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SAS for modeling and analysis
• Experience with cloud-based data environments (e.g., Advana, VAULT, BLADE)

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Operations Research or a related discipline
• Experience supporting DoD or Air Force analytics initiatives
• Proficiency with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in operations research
• Experience with geospatial analytics and civil engineering data
• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
