Operations Project Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead Operational Readiness Review (ORR) meetings to validate project readiness for the production phase
• Evaluate supply chain needs and procurement schedules to ensure component availability for assembly teams
• Assess physical space and facility requirements to ensure test sites are properly configured
• Coordinate with Planning, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues
• Provide staffing forecasts and expert input on manufacturing elements for cost proposals
• Monitor and report project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM), Cost Account Manager (CAM), and Estimate at Completion (EAC) techniques
• Identify and execute cost savings opportunities to improve operational margins
• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in project management or operations within a complex manufacturing environment
• Proficient in both French and English
• Eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
• Eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with high-variety, low-volume project-based manufacturing
• Experience with Infor LN (ERP) or similar systems
• Familiarity with Deltek Cobra
• Proven ability to manage conflicting objectives in a matrixed team environment
