Operations Officer – Upstream & Advisory, Financial Institutions Group

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess upstream advisory opportunities based on client needs, country strategies, and market creation potential
• Develop feasibility studies and implementation plans for projects that lead to IFC investments
• Partner with investment colleagues to manage client relationships and foster cross-departmental collaboration
• Identify emerging trends, technologies, and business models to develop new capital market structures and asset classes
• Engage with the World Bank to contribute to sector and regulatory reforms that support private investment
• Disseminate knowledge and best practices across regional and global teams

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, International Relations, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience
• Deep understanding of the financial industry and the ability to link policy reforms to investment solutions
• Proven experience in management consulting, investment banking, capital markets, or structured finance
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
• Demonstrated track record of engaging with private sector clients and government stakeholders
