About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate Adaptation Fund board and committee meeting processes, including agenda setting, document drafting, and meeting reports.
- Coordinate the drafting and timely delivery of reports to the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement.
- Provide guidance on recruitment and procurement processes and support administrative functions such as real estate and office space management.
- Support logistical arrangements for high-level UNFCCC events, including side events, panels, and bilateral meetings.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to standardize and elevate the Secretariat’s internal business operations.
- Provide critical business continuity support and backup to the Finance Officer.
Requirements
- Master's degree in finance, international development, public policy, or a related field.
- At least five years of professional work experience working with a fund.
- Proven experience with board or committee governance processes, including meeting preparation and document management.
- Experience in developing standard operating procedures and analyzing business processes.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management practices.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse external stakeholders and interact with clients in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in French or another official World Bank language.
- Basic knowledge of the Adaptation Fund's role within the international climate finance context.
