About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of functional test systems and repair processes for motherboards and fully assembled units
  • Investigate production test failures, identify root causes, and resolve complex fixture, instrumentation, and station hardware issues
  • Analyze manufacturing test data to identify yield trends, recurring failure modes, and process improvement opportunities
  • Qualify and maintain station hardware integrity using GR&R, factory audits, and calibration protocols
  • Manage test vendor scoping, qualification, and mass production support to drive yield improvements and cycle-time optimization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Test Engineering and Failure Analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in production failure investigation and root cause analysis
  • Experience testing technologies such as sensing (motion, touch), transducers, imaging, displays, or electrical protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB)
  • Proficiency with lab equipment including high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in assembly, inspection, test station design, or automation equipment
  • Proven ability to work independently in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams including hardware design, quality, and process engineering
  • Knowledge of tester qualification requirements including calibration, correlation, and Design of Experiments (DOE)
