Operations Manager

About the Company

Zania is building agentic AI for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to automate and augment complex risk and compliance workflows. Funded by a leading Tier 1 venture capital fund, Zania is a hyper-growth startup with a world-class team of AI and security leaders.

Responsibilities

• Source exceptional candidates at high volume across LinkedIn, GitHub, and other channels
• Build and maintain sourcing lists, sequences, and outreach cadences
• Screen inbound applicants and qualify candidates through initial conversations
• Own end-to-end interview scheduling, including virtual and onsite logistics
• Maintain clean and accurate data in the ATS
• Partner with hiring managers on role intake and structured interview processes
• Own project tracking and maintain visibility into open initiatives
• Build and manage lightweight operational systems, SOPs, and internal documentation
• Support the founder and leadership team with scheduling and cross-functional priorities
• Handle operational tasks across HR, office management, and general business operations

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in recruiting coordination, sourcing, talent acquisition, project management, or operations
• Experience in a startup or high-growth company environment
• Proven ability to source talent proactively and relentlessly
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage a candidate pipeline
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Palo Alto, CA five days per week
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting technical recruiting for engineers, ML/AI, or security roles
• Familiarity with ATS platforms like Ashby, Greenhouse, or Lever
• Familiarity with HRIS tools like Rippling or Gusto
• Previous experience at a seed-to-Series D company
• Exposure to GRC, security, or enterprise software environments
