Operations Manager

About the Company

VREY is building the EnergyOS for multi-family residential buildings. We combine certified metering operations with our own software to enable owners to sell self-generated solar power directly to tenants, turning regulatory requirements into profitable opportunities. Having secured €3.3M in seed funding, we are scaling our operations to define the future of decentralized energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end implementation of energy projects from contract signing to successful go-live
• Coordinate installers, grid operators, and internal teams to ensure timely commissioning
• Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., §42b EnWG, MSB processes)
• Develop standardized project structures and scalable rollout models for hundreds of projects per year
• Translate energy economic requirements into stable metering, balancing, and billing processes
• Identify bottlenecks, track operational KPIs, and implement automation to increase scalability

Requirements

• Experience in consulting (Tier 1/Tier 2), high-growth startups (operations/process optimization), or project management
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to make independent, data-driven decisions
• Strong interest in startups, energy, or real estate sectors
• Fluency in German and English
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate
