Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the Investment Operations function, setting and improving operational standards, policies, and controls.
• Manage and develop the Investment Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with the COO to develop and execute the firm's annual operating plan and budget.
• Own the query management framework to ensure all operational queries are resolved within agreed service levels.
• Manage the data-handoff interface with Finance regarding AUM, net flows, and fee inputs.
• Drive automation and efficiency opportunities by partnering with Technology and Data teams.
• Act as the escalation point for structural operational issues and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in investment operations or an equivalent leadership role within asset management.
• Proven experience in people management, team leadership, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income and OTC instruments.
• Deep understanding of outsourced fund administration models and the relationship between asset managers and administrators.
• Extensive experience in policy drafting, process design, and operational governance frameworks.
• Experience managing operational risk, SLAs, audits, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in investment operations, asset management, risk, or compliance.
• Experience with project management, data analysis, or process improvement methodologies.
• Experience with workflow tooling, reporting governance, or operational transformation.
