Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day transport activities on site to ensure high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service
• Manage a blue-collar workforce consisting of 15 Linfox company drivers and 40 subcontractors
• Coordinate daily allocations across AM and PM operations, ensuring the correct fleet is utilized to meet delivery requirements
• Manage site financials, including staff wages, R&M, fuel, and discretionary costs to ensure profitability and KPI achievement
• Enhance customer relationships through regular contact and superior service delivery for Kmart
• Act as the key escalation point for operational and safety-critical issues, including after-hours decision-making and incident response
• Collaborate with the Site Manager to continuously develop and improve operational processes

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and drive accountability
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced unionised environment
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet employment criteria, including criminal history checks and medical/drug and alcohol testing
