Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage safety and welfare of company drivers in alignment with HSSE expectations
• Oversee transport and depot operations across NSW to ensure reliability and efficiency
• Ensure NSW depots comply with company policies and legislative requirements
• Lead and support a team of drivers through training, coaching, and development
• Manage workforce planning, including rostering, scheduling, payroll, and leave
• Oversee daily fleet planning and inbound product supply to ensure adequate stock levels
• Conduct incident investigations and promote hazard reporting
• Participate in recruitment, selection, and termination processes

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in operational management or a similar role
• Strong understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations (fatigue, mass, load management)
• Knowledge of dangerous goods transport and handling legislation
• Proven people leadership and management skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and resolve conflicts
