Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational services including air and ocean imports/exports, warehousing, and customs brokerage for the Government & Defense branch.
• Drive operational excellence and ensure compliance with JAS processes, governmental standards, and IATA requirements.
• Manage branch workloads and distribution to meet client, contractual, and company KPI objectives.
• Utilize operational and financial dashboards to monitor performance and enhance staff productivity.
• Lead, coach, and mentor direct reports, including conducting performance evaluations and overseeing training programs.
• Collaborate with sales, warehousing, and support teams to achieve target budgets and maintain strong customer and carrier relationships.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Freight Forwarding operations experience, specifically handling air/ocean products, warehousing, and customs brokerage.
• 5+ years of prior supervisory or managerial experience.
• Firm working knowledge of air and ocean import/export processes.
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the Government & Defense (G&D) sector.
• Proficiency with CargoWise (C1).
• Background in Customs Brokerage.
• Bachelor's degree.
