Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage financial and accounting systems, including bookkeeping, cash flow, and payroll
• Oversee physical security, building access, and coordination with law enforcement
• Maintain facilities and building operations for UBC and UVic locations
• Administer donor databases, process donations, and issue tax receipts
• Provide logistical and on-site support for major events and campaigns
• Manage building rentals, insurance renewals, and vendor contracts
• Support HR administration, including personnel records and onboarding
• Maintain office technology, supplies, and organizational records

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in operations, administration, or project coordination
• Strong bookkeeping and financial administration skills
• Proficiency with donor databases and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of CRA charitable policies and non-profit operations
• Experience with facility management and security coordination
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to perform physical, hands-on work for event setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a nonprofit or community setting
• Familiarity with BC employment standards
• Experience with LittleGreenLight or Raiser's Edge
