About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Global Derivatives team in managing complex trading settlements, reconciliations, and financial processes for ETD and OTC segments.
- Ensure accurate and timely trade book to financial reconciliations and provide insightful management information for month-end and quarter-close.
- Monitor live exchange trade reconciliations and ensure all derivatives settlements and brokerage payments are executed correctly.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with global stakeholders, including Traders, Market Risk, IT, and Finance.
- Drive digital initiatives and transformational projects to improve process efficiency and simplify complex system landscapes.
- Manage staff development through frequent coaching, performance management, and capacity planning.
- Ensure strict compliance with accounting policies, regulatory environments, and underlying internal controls.
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience in finance or trading operations.
- In-depth knowledge of Derivatives Trading operations, settlements, and trade book to financial reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with ETRM systems, SAP, and ENDUR (or variants).
- Strong leadership and performance management skills with the ability to build credibility and rapport.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work flexibly across various time zones to meet critical month-end and quarter-close deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional degree in a finance-related discipline (CA, CIMA, or MBA preferred).
- A digital mindset with experience contributing to large-scale transformational projects or UAT phases.
- Deep understanding of trading operations and their underlying value drivers.
