Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and train the Service team to create a fun atmosphere and serve as a hub for information
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff including kids club, front desk, and janitorial staff
• Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff members
• Provide constructive feedback to staff on performance
• Address member concerns or complaints and manage membership inquiries
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols
• Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, equipment, and locker rooms
• Partner with Sales, Fitness, Facilities, and Marketing teams to improve gym performance
• Monitor and order inventory for fitness equipment, cleaning supplies, and retail products
• Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies

Requirements

• Must successfully pass background check
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
• Knowledge of company policies and SOPs
• Ability to work in a gym setting and move about club floors
• Ability to operate company computer systems and enter data
• Ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of operations management experience
• 3-4 years of customer service experience
• Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills
