Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage all mechanical operations, maintenance, and engineering staff programs for assigned properties
• Serve as the primary technical authority for engineering, property management, and asset management teams
• Supervise technical operations of MEP/LS systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems
• Coordinate third-party engineering staff and evaluate contractor qualifications for repairs and upgrades
• Manage inspections, energy audits, and environmental compliance
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and oversee life safety and emergency response programs
• Recommend property repairs and improvements for annual operating and capital budgets
• Oversee tenant-related construction and renovation activities to ensure building integrity

Requirements

• 5+ years of facilities engineering and operations experience
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (plumbing, fire life safety, electrical, mechanical, HVAC)
• Proficiency in problem-solving and task management in fast-paced environments
• Ability to read construction drawings and schematics
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CADD, BMS systems, and maintenance management software
• Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with life science, medical office, laboratory buildings, data centers, or critical infrastructure
• NFPA FPPM Certification
• LEED accreditation
• Proven experience with sustainability and energy conservation programs
