Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, BAS, and building envelope components
• Plan, perform, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and security systems
• Monitor Building Automation Systems and respond to alarms
• Manage day-to-day site operations including scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
• Direct and oversee construction, repair, and maintenance projects from planning through completion
• Procure, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors and internal teams
• Ensure all work complies with safety, WHMIS, OH&S, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• BESO I or II, SMT, Fourth Class Power Engineer (NS certified), or equivalent
• HVACR and refrigeration licensing (HRAI, ODP)
• Experience in commercial or institutional building operations
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and BAS systems
• Ability to obtain required security clearance (Canadian citizenship required)
• Minimum 5 years of experience
