Operations Manager-Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) operations, ensuring resources and personnel align with performance targets.
• Act as the primary point of contact for government program authorities to resolve operational issues.
• Lead IT and cybersecurity projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) from Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Implement CMMI-aligned processes and structured workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Field Engineers, System Security Engineers, and ISSOs to ensure smooth execution of CDS operations.
• Conduct research-driven analysis to address documentation gaps and provide evidence-based recommendations.

Requirements

• 3–10 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within DoD, cybersecurity, or systems engineering.
• Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
• Proven ability to develop granular WBS and translate them into detailed IMS using tools like MS Project.
• Knowledge of NIST standards and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Familiarity with firewall configurations, COMSEC equipment, or inline encryption processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal training in Project/Operations Management.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt.
• Experience working directly with cybersecurity teams, ISSOs, or systems engineers.
• Familiarity with CMMI, quality frameworks, or structured lifecycle processes.
