Operations Manager - Credit Analytics & Data

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of data and analytics professionals in India, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Manage the delivery of core Credit Data & Analytics (CDA) services, including credit risk reporting, counterparty exposure monitoring, and portfolio dashboards.
• Drive the adoption of AI and machine learning techniques to enhance predictive counterparty risk models, anomaly detection, and NLP-driven data extraction.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of analytical products, from data sourcing and transformation to presenting insights to senior stakeholders and the CRO.
• Champion engineering best practices, including code version control via GitHub, automated testing, and peer reviews.
• Partner with London-based leadership and global trading desks to ensure analytical outputs meet SLAs and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven track record of managing and developing analytical or data science teams.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn or XGBoost.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and cloud environments (e.g., Azure or Snowflake).
• Deep understanding of credit risk concepts, including counterparty credit risk, CVA, and ECL.
• Experience with version control tools like GitHub and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of credit risk regulatory frameworks such as IFRS 9 or Basel III.
• Experience in energy trading, commodities, or a similar financial services environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
• Exposure to MLOps practices and Azure Data Mesh architecture.
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted analytics and AI productivity tooling.
