Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage student casual hiring and appointment processes, including onboarding, work authorization (I-9), and compliance tracking.
• Oversee departmental vehicle usage, including registration, insurance, and driver eligibility.
• Conduct regular audits of capital equipment and departmental assets to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Administer financial transactions for student extracurricular activities, including p-card reconciliation and reimbursement processing.
• Support academic operations by coordinating student course assignments with the Graduate Committee Chair.
• Maintain laboratory seating charts and space assignments in alignment with safety and operational needs.
• Prepare and analyze HR-related data and metrics to support departmental decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (preference in Finance, Management, or a relevant field).
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in administration and management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to exercise independent judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in higher education or within other large, complex institutions.
