About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee manufacturing operations to ensure daily production, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met
- Drive operational execution and implement corrective actions for deviations to production plans
- Serve as the primary operational representative for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and supply chain to support business growth
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and root cause corrective action
- Manage production scheduling, inventory optimization, and materials management
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or operations management
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or complex manufacturing environments (e.g., metal fabrication, machining, assembly)
- Proven expertise in production scheduling, materials management, and quality systems
- Experience leading teams within a matrixed organization
- Experience managing operations management systems, including performance metrics and standard work
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems, specifically SAP
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards and aerospace manufacturing environments
- Experience with operational recovery plans and capacity management
- Strong customer-facing experience with an emphasis on operational performance
