About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations across container deposit schemes and C&I collections
- Manage a team of over 20 staff, including labour allocation, absenteeism, and performance management
- Provide in-field leadership and conduct regular toolboxes to support frontline teams
- Prepare and review daily operational reporting to ensure accurate data management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service delivery and drive business growth
- Ensure strict safety compliance, including PPE usage and incident prevention
Requirements
- Proven experience managing operations in a leadership capacity within a fast-paced environment
- Strong people leadership skills with experience managing frontline and operational teams
- Confident stakeholder management skills, including experience with customers or councils
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance service delivery and cost control
- Mechanical or fleet knowledge is desirable to effectively liaise with vendors
