About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead operations strategy and planning, including the execution of business objectives and development of short to mid-term improvement plans.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager to establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive productivity and asset utilization.
- Drive the application of Lean principles, including standard work, visual management, and structured problem solving.
- Ensure strict compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Process Safety Management (PSM) standards.
- Manage quality processes and implement best practices to ensure products meet all specifications.
- Oversee cost management by executing plans to meet annual financial and capital objectives.
- Foster a respectful work environment through talent management, coaching, and mentoring of area leaders and employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
- Proven leadership experience in high-hazard or highly regulated industrial environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead frontline teams and supervisors with accountability for safety, quality, and production.
- Strong working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and EHS systems.
- Proven ability to deliver results through operational discipline and performance management.
- Willingness to relocate in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience supporting a Lean transformation.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, and data-driven decision making.
