Operations Manager, Aviation

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily aviation operations, including flight scheduling, dispatch, crew coordination, and ground services
• Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations, company manuals, and industry safety standards
• Lead safety programs, risk assessments, and incident investigations through Safety Management Systems (SMS)
• Supervise flight operations staff, dispatchers, coordinators, and ground personnel
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to monitor aircraft status, inspections, and service requirements
• Manage department budgets, operating costs, and vendor contracts
• Analyze operational workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management, Aeronautical Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5–10+ years of aviation operations experience
• Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 91, 121, or 135)
• Experience with flight scheduling systems, dispatch, and maintenance coordination
• Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality assurance programs
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Pilot or aircraft dispatcher certification
