Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Direct and coach personnel to ensure service, administration, and profit objectives for pharma clients are achieved.
• Provide leadership to team leaders handling the sourcing, contracting, planning, and budget development for dedicated pharma accounts.
• Drive financial performance by reviewing forecasts, validating cost structures, and monitoring profitability metrics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client and supplier partners.
• Resolve escalated client issues and coach team members on effective issue resolution.
• Lead new account implementations and ensure successful onboarding aligned with client expectations.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance reviews for the team.
• Travel as required (approximately 25%) to support client programs, site inspections, and operational execution.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of leadership experience in pharma meetings management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharma meeting sourcing, planning, and technologies such as CVENT.
• Expertise in healthcare compliance, including the Sunshine Act and transfer of value requirements.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage business financials and contracts.
• Advanced oral and written presentation skills.
• College degree is required.
• Ability to travel up to 25% by airplane, boat, rail, or car.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree.
• CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation.
• Experience with program management systems and meetings industry technology.
