Operations & Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair, and inspect treatment plant and collection system equipment
• Adjust plant equipment including valves, pumping systems, and chemical feed systems
• Collect wastewater samples and perform field and laboratory tests
• Calculate chemical feed rates and calibrate equipment to maintain water quality
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of collection systems such as manholes and sewer pipes
• Respond to customer complaints, odor complaints, or sewer backups
• Complete work orders using KloudGin and other workforce management tools
• Perform general facility maintenance including mowing, painting, and snow removal
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday duty rotations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights
• Ability to read and write English legibly and perform basic math
• Ability to interface with SCADA, CMMS, and GIS systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience operating and maintaining water/wastewater systems
• NJDEP C-1 and S-1 licenses
