Operations Leader

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Key Holder and trusted member of the leadership team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Supervise store partners, assisting with training and maintaining positive morale on the sales floor.
• Open and close the store while strictly following all cash handling, safety, and security protocols.
• Uphold animal care standards to ensure the health, safety, and proper handling of all pets.
• Execute merchandising standards, including planograms, pricing accuracy, and promotional set-ups.
• Manage inventory activities such as restocking, cycle counts, and product replenishment.
• Address customer questions and resolve concerns promptly to deliver exceptional service.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the store in the absence of management.

Requirements

• Previous retail experience is required; key holder or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash and transactions.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, supplies, or animals weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
