Operations Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, environmentally responsible, and productive operation of the chemical unit
• Supervise shift teams, including staffing assignments and performance management
• Coach and develop personnel to maximize individual and unit contributions
• Ensure strict adherence to operating discipline, safety protocols, and standard work practices
• Manage operational overtime and resource allocation to meet business goals
• Perform or support root cause analysis and problem-solving investigations
• Implement and maintain effective work processes and continuous improvement principles

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 15 years of operational experience within a chemical plant
• 3 years of experience as a shift manager
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience directly training operators
• Knowledge and experience using Continuous Improvement Tools
